A Steady Exam Journey and Stage Experience
The ABRSM Exam Journey
Over the years, students have been guided through ABRSM piano exams at every level — from the early grades to Grade 8 and on to the performance-diploma stage. Teaching values method and understanding, preparing step by step on a solid foundation of technique, theory, sight-reading and aural. The time needed varies with a student's foundation and involvement — we assess first, then set a suitable direction so a student moves steadily towards each goal.
Competition Participation and Stage Experience
We actively encourage students of all ages and levels to take part in local and international piano competitions, across categories from early years to advanced. Many students have been recognised, and some have advanced to higher-level international competitions in Shanghai, Beijing and Japan. More than placings, we value the musical growth and stage experience a student gathers through preparing and performing.
