FAQ

Consultation — Common Questions

What is the difference between a consultation and regular piano lessons?

A consultation is a focused, one-off session designed to clarify direction, assess a student's current situation, and provide concrete, actionable advice. It does not involve systematic technical teaching. Regular piano lessons are an ongoing programme. The two can complement each other well.

What should I prepare for my first consultation?

It helps to have a summary of the student's learning background (years studied, current level, grades achieved) and the specific challenges or questions you'd like addressed. The more context you can provide, the more targeted the advice.

How is the consultation fee structured?

Consultations are charged per session. Please contact us via WhatsApp for the latest fee details. A standard session runs approximately 60 minutes and can be adjusted to suit your needs.

Can I book just a single one-off consultation?

Absolutely. A single session is sufficient to receive a full assessment and clear direction. Follow-up sessions or an ongoing lesson programme can always be arranged separately, entirely based on what works for you.

Will I receive written recommendations after the consultation?

Yes — following each consultation, a written summary of the key recommendations will be provided, including suggested learning direction, exam strategy, and next steps. This ensures both parents and students have a clear, actionable record to refer back to.

Where do the lessons and consultation take place? Which areas do you serve?

Both the one-on-one piano lessons and consultation take place at the teacher's home piano studio in Tai Wai / Sha Tin, Hong Kong, where students come for lessons. Students from Tai Wai, Sha Tin and nearby areas are most welcome; learners from other districts are welcome to enquire via WhatsApp.
