Kannaz Piano is led by Hong Kong piano teacher Ms. Kannaz Kwok, who has 30+ years of teaching experience, holds internationally recognised ABRSM and Trinity Laban credentials, has served as a professional interpreter for ABRSM examinations, and has been invited many times to adjudicate international music competitions. The studio is in Tai Wai / Sha Tin, where students come for lessons, serving students and families in Tai Wai, Sha Tin and eastern New Territories.
We offer a full range of one-to-one piano courses: from early years and children's lessons to adult learning, along with ABRSM exam training, music theory, performance diplomas (ARSM / ATCL) and competition & music-festival preparation; plus a consultation-centred one-to-one piano learning consultation, and a development programme for practising piano teachers. Whatever stage a student is at, there is a suitable direction.
Unlike a one-size-fits-all model, we value teaching to the individual, understanding music, and long-term development: building solid technique while nurturing listening, musical understanding and independent learning, rather than chasing exam results or short-term progress alone. Personal Piano Lessons

Regular progress assessments help students progress steadily, with the pace and content adjusted as needed. Piano Teacher Development
Centred on the ABRSM Teaching Diploma curriculum, this programme systematically strengthens the professional teaching capabilities of practising piano teachers, supporting preparation for and attainment of ABRSM Professional Teaching Diplomas at all levels. One-to-one mentoring sessions are also available for teachers to focus on chosen repertoire, teaching topics, or areas of personal development — alongside individual professional teaching consultations.

A Rational View of Exams
Solid fundamentals always come first. Exams serve as objective verification of a student's hard work — not the end goal. I also encourage students to take part in music sharing events, building confidence and the courage to perform.

Ms. Kannaz Kwok holds internationally recognised professional credentials from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the ABRSM, and serves as an ABRSM Examinations Professional Interpreter. Since 2003, she has regularly accompanied the ABRSM on tours to multiple countries, bringing cutting-edge international teaching insights back to her classroom.
